Day 2 on our excursion at Niagara Falls, New York. We fully submersed ourselves in all Niagara Falls had to offer. Beginning the day by taking the Maid on the Mist boat ride right up to the breathtaking falls on the American side. It was truly an experience. The power and beauty in all God created is astounding. We spent the rest of the day walking, walking…and more walking to every site and view possible to take in the falls and all her beauty. The roaring Niagara River could be heard from a far. We were thirsty and hungry by the end of it all and we found the cutest little restaurant (773 North) nearby. We had a fancy dinner of chicken parmesan, salmon, green beans, taters and more, followed by ice-cream cones before returning to our cute campsite. #familytime #travel #savor #niagarafallsny #niagarafallsny🇺🇸 The seasons are flying past. While fall is clearly here, I’m very behind on sharing all the things we’ve been exploring this summer—and, they are just too good not to share. As a family, we’ve dove into so many adventures. A little of this and a little of that. So take a look for the next several post, it’s going to be all about our explorations. For a start, the beginning of our July. We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary, this year with Harvest as our sidekick, as our other kiddos were all away at Church Camp. We ate a lovely dinner followed by the new Toy Story movie. Per usual we were slaying on many hard projects at home amongst it all. We spent the Fourth of July here at home, out in this beautiful country land where we now reside. We had amazing food at home, followed by great fireworks at our neighbors house for the first time. We made upgrades to our camping Airstream. Getting her ready for the longest trip she had ever taken with us (for a 2 day stay in Niagara Falls, New York and another week or so driving to and exploring Maine), all while cooking up great food along the way. For this particular snippet of footage, we drove from home to Niagara Falls, New York, during the Canadian wild fires. As you can see our visibility was low and the smoke smell was strong. Thankfully, we arrived safely to our campground and were eager to see the falls for ourselves for the first time in all our lives. He truly is such a JOY, he’s SO fun! The best brother and son you could ask for. I especially love his compassion for others. Judah keeps us laughing. Sweet friends celebrated both him and Nakoda since their birthdays are so close 🧡. + We did all his favorite things, family time and more. I gifted him my favorite Pineapple Peach Kombucha, made him homemade oatmeal and berries for breakfast, dinner was zuppa toscana soup 🍲 (he loves soups!!), followed by Vermont Spice Cake and gifts from us. He still is a hard core Lego man and throughly enjoys building, so his bday was full of that. Next we surprised him to a local theater show as his interest in acting grows. It was amazing and inspiring for him. We shall see what the future holds sweet Judah, excited to see what God has in store! Keep seeking Him—Happy Birthday our handsome boy! #happybirthday OPEN HOURS: Today (10/10), we’ve opened our 1973 Airstream Mobile Shop on our property till 3 p.m. with an assortment of antique, vintage and fun fall pickin’s just for you 🍁. Youth flannels and sweaters, hats, bibles, journals and more. Not only would you be supporting our small business, but our kiddos small business @nakodasnook_and_crew, which also has their work sprinkled throughout. We accept cash, Venmo and credit. OPEN HOURS: Tomorrow (Saturday 10/10), we’ll be opening our 1973 Airstream Mobile Shop on our property from 10am-3pm with an assortment of antique, vintage and fun fall pickin’s just for you 🍁. We accept cash, Venmo and credit. It all feels like yesterday. Truly is a blink. We celebrated our oldest, Nakoda Taylor, the leader of the pack last week, September 30 for her 17th birthday. She is a jewel. The amount of things she has gotten to experience and be a part of already in her lifetime is vast and beautiful. She has grown immensely, found her passions and is still finding them. Her love for dance has moved her heart in ways we can see she was anointed and born for. We are in awe of what she can accomplish. Per usual we celebrated big, always throwing in some surprises as we find our children are worth great celebrations! Gifts from God that we cherish. We started with a delicious breakfast at The Coop with a surprise appearance of Mammy @queenkimzee and presents. Followed by cashing in on all the free bday gifts from Sephora, Starbucks and more. Next we enjoyed the evening home savoring our time together by making her requested dinner and dessert - crusty chicken & alfredo + baguette garlic bread and a tedious raspberry coconut cake that was sent straight from heaven. A stop by at the grandparents 🧡 for more goodies and celebrations with friends. We adore you Nakoda. What an amazing young lady you are growing into. One year left until you turn the BIG 18!!! 😱 Cherishing every second and praising Jesus for the gift of you!! Our first daughter, our first baby to make us parents. We love you! #happybirthday🎂 Another great season with @halal.worshiparts. We love being a part of this summer program. Our girls got to dive in to Agape Love a bit deeper as they grow in their own personal walks with Jesus, and in worship and dance for the glory of God. It’s a precious thing.
